BRITISH POLITICS - GENERAL

THE STRANGE SILENCES OF THE BRITISH POLITICAL CLASS, 20 January 2010.  A paper that examines the failure of leadership in the British political class which has not been honest about necessary cuts to public sector pay, pensions and welfare benefits.  It shows that the political class has also been silent about the costs of EU membership and the massive costs of immigration.
THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF IMMIGRATION, 14 October 2007.  Evidence and Additional Submission given by Anthony Scholefield, provided material to assist the House of Lords Select Committee on Economic Affairs to report in a more objective way on the economic effects of immigration.
THE POLITICAL CASTE, 31 March 2007.  An examination of why politics is now disconnected from the views of the electorate and yet why politicians seek and receive increased power and patronage.

COPY OF EVIDENCE SUBMITTED TO BBC
, 28 December 2004  [Evidence given by Anthony Scholefield on behalf of the UK Independence Party]  The BBC's investigation into its coverage of EU affairs provided an opportunity to give evidence on behalf of UK Independence Party on the extent and causes of its failure in this area.   The evidence was that, since 1990, at least 40% of the voters in opinion polls have expressed a wish to leave the EU altogether and that, therefore, the BBC has failed to reflect the views of almost half the electorate.
