COPY OF EVIDENCE SUBMITTED TO BBC, 28 December 2004 [Evidence given by Anthony Scholefield on behalf of the UK Independence Party] The BBC's investigation into its coverage of EU affairs provided an opportunity to give evidence on behalf of UK Independence Party on the extent and causes of its failure in this area. The evidence was that, since 1990, at least 40% of the voters in opinion polls have expressed a wish to leave the EU altogether and that, therefore, the BBC has failed to reflect the views of almost half the electorate.
